Comrade Cable rejects proposal

Lib Dem Business Secretary Vince Cable has been branded a 'socialist' and unfit for office by Tory government advisor Adrian Beecroft. Mr Beecroft, who according to the Sunday Times rich list is worth more than £100,000,000 and has homes in London and Oxfordshire and an extensive collection of vehicles, including several Aston Martins, has proposed doing away with 'unfair dismissal' laws which protect employees against being sacked where no fault has been identified against them. Vince Cable described the recommendations as 'bonkers', saying there was no need for the government to 'scare the wits out of workers'. In an interview with the Daily Telegraph today Mr Beecroft said of Mr Cable, 'I think people find it very odd that he’s in charge of business and yet appears to do very little to support business.'
